The release of “Batman v. Superman” has come and gone. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed in the movie. And, of course, keeping with this parallel, it makes me fear for “No Man’s Sky”.
Once again, this happens to be one of the friendliest film festivals one can attend with both talent and audience having a great appreciation for one another.

Somehow, Zemeckis has taken a story known to many (especially how it ends) and has made it fresh, exhilarating, and full of surprises.
Collectively, the young women of “The Keeping Room,” director Daniel Barber, and writer Julia Hart take us on a journey that is intense, beautiful and melancholic.
“Sicario” is easily Villeneuve’s best film, and one of the best of the year.
M. Night Shyamalan returns to fine form delivering another thriller worthy of a lot of post-screening discussion with “The Visit”.

Few scenes fly by without the jokes coming fast and funny. There are too many comedies today with missed opportunities and Feig and McCarthy don’t let any of those moments pass without delivering something hilarious.

Plus, she sits in to help preview this weekend’s new releases “Chappie”, “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” and “Unfinished Business”.
It’s Oscar Sunday, and with The Oscar Rant out there, more opinions have popped up about the ten best films of 2014.
For all who are uninitiated, “Selma” is not just about Martin Luther King Jr, although he is a key player in its history. Just as fascinating are all the supporting players that were integral to the historical events that took place in Selma, Alabama.
Sometimes a story will continue on into a fourth installment (and beyond). That’s where it gets interesting.

Kent’s film, as with so many films of this genre, does have noticeable influences, but in no way shape or form does it ever become a pale imitation.
