THE MOVIE SHOWCAST – “PARTY AT MARCUS’S HOUSE” (w/Marcus Nispel) – “Ant-Man” & “Trainwreck”

Showcast Episode 109: Director Marcus Nispel (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2003), “Conan the Barbarian 3D”) joins The Movie Guys in studio and has stories for days as his new film “Exeter” hits DirecTV on demand, with a major release planned in theaters for August. Also, previews of new-in-theaters “Trainwreck” and “Ant-Man”, while Adam leads a few rounds of “Name the Marvel Character”.

MOVIE REVIEW – INSIDE OUT

It’s quite a testament to the consistent quality Pixar has brought to films for twenty years that even though they’ve had some missteps recently, the fact that they NAIL IT once again with their newest release, “Inside Out”, is no real surprise.

Showcast Episode 103: It’s a week of Greatest Hits Guests as The Movie Guys welcome the triumphant return of Andy Peters, who sits in for previews of “Insidious: Chapter 3”, “Spy” & “Entourage”. Then director and popular guest of the Showcast Paul Osborne jumps in The Admiral’s Club to talk about the production of his latest film, “Cruel Hearts”. Also, a round of Retractions and a crap-ton of “Mad Max: Fury Road”.

TO & FROM MOVIE REVIEW – “MAD MAX: FURY ROAD”

The Movie Guys send friends of the show Dono Cunningham and Matt Samardge to a screening of “Mad Max: Fury Road” in New York City. They record their thoughts going to and from the movie, which plays out like that experience you have walking the streets of NYC, talking movies. Will they like it? (we’ll see) Will we see Dono’s face? (no).

THE MOVIE SHOWCAST – “DID WE MENTION IT STARS GEORGE CLOONEY?” (w/Chris Dowling) – “Tomorrowland” and “Poltergeist”

Showcast Episode 101: The Movie Guys welcome their first guest of the next one hundred shows to The Admiral’s Club – Chris Dowling, director of “When Hope Grows”, now in theaters across the country! Also, Dr. Marvin the dog sits in the first half of the show for previews of “Tomorrowland”, “Poltergeist” and a quick look at other Disneyland-based movies in development. Showcast Episode 100: The Movie Guys celebrate one hundred episodes of The Movie Showcast! Stand-up comic Jeffrey Baldinger sits in the whole show with house band The Boobé Sisters. New releases “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Pitch Perfect 2” get the preview treatment, plus The Boobés fire up a round of “Name That Movie” with classic film music, plus a clip retrospective a la ’70s sitcoms.

Showcast Episode 95: It’s an Indiana Jones LOVEFEST as Chris Strompolos of “Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation” hits The Admiral’s Club with updates on the greatest fan film ever made (for the uninitiated, it was shot over thirty-two years – suck it, “Boyhood”!). He talks about the film, the book and the new documentary that captures the making of the remake. Plus, a preview of the Scott Eastwood’s abs-a-thon known as “The Longest Ride” and an Indy-themed Karen’s Birthdays.

THE MOVIE SHOWCAST – “WHEN PIGS SWIM” (w/Glenn Morshower) – “Furious 7”
