MOVIE REVIEW – THE BIG WEDDING

The-Big-Wedding-Featured

It’s like having an orange popcicle, the mild orange taste is pleasing enough, but no one ever spends much time thinking about it afterwards, its banished from our thoughts because while the taste is good, it’s also unremarkable.

MOVIE REVIEW – “RED DAWN”

Red-Dawn

Not as much fun as a pageant of big-breasted women.

BLU-RAY & DVD CAPSULE REVIEWS

wildwonderfulwhites1

Capsule reviews by The Movie Guys include “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia” and “Paul”. Quick plot, quick opinion and we’re out.

BRIDESMAIDS

You may have wondered what the ladies were doing and talking about while the men were horsing around in films like “Wedding Crashers” and “The Hangover”.

TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT

I knew the 80’s. The 80’s were a friend of mine. “Take Me Home Tonight”, you’re not the 80’s.

THE MIDDLE SEAT: “SCHWARZENEGGER OR SONY CLASSICS”

In my humble opinion, there are certain people who don’t “get” movies, and thus should not be allowed to view movies at all.

HALL PASS

The banter between characters is great and the situations they’re put into are pure, envelope-pushing comedy gold as only the Farrellys can deliver.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

When I think of fun and witty romantic comedy leading ladies I don’t think of Natalie Portman.

GHOSTBUSTERS – WHY WE GONNA CALL?

“Ghostbusters” deserved (and deserves) either an incredible sequel – or a non-existent one.

RANTING ON A CLASSIC: CADDYSHACK

“Caddyshack”‘s stature has grown to the point where it now stands alone as the undisputed master of the raunch-comedy – the standard bearer by which all others are judged.

INDIE REPORT – THE VIDEO GUYS

An indie that reminds us of why we love indies

OVERLOOKED GEMS, PART 3: BAD MOVIE NIGHT

Classics? Perhaps not. But considerably better than their rep, and worth at least a look-see by the discriminating cinephile.
