It’s an honor for a number of films every year to be selected for the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry. It says that the film is nationally recognized for achievement in artistry. You can get the full list of this year’s entries at THEWRAP.COM. They include Best Picture winners “Forrest Gump and “The Silence of the Lambs” as well as “Stand and Deliver”. Wait, “Stand and Deliver”? Yes…”Stand and Deliver”.

It’s sixty years too late, but blacklisted Hollywood writer Dalton Trumbo has had his screenwriting credit restored to “Roman Holiday” by The Writer’s Guild of America. Truly an embarrassing time for America (as is any time in America when artists are marginalized), kudos to The Guild for making things right. It’s just a shame it took so long…
